THE CHRISTY MILLER SERIES: You've gotta read it!
People you've gotta read the Christy Miller Series. These books are amazing! I love how I can totally relate to Christy's life, her thoughts, feelings, and emotions. Sometimes I get bored with reading, but I gotta say, its hard for me to put these books down. The way Todd and Tracy lead Christy to God is sooo sweet! And what's even better is that Todd's so cute! :) These books are funny, interesting, romantic, and very realistic. Even if you aren't a Christian, gosh you've gotta read these! WOW I'd love to actually live these books and be Christy and have a guy like Todd. And I'm sure when you order these books and read them you'll feel the same.

Neato!!
hello! this series is the best just like the reader before me claimed. about falling in love w/ all the characters, though. i'm not sure about that. i mean, todd, christy, doug, tracy, katie and all of christy's other beach friends are the best but rick? uh... well he's umm..... annoying. anywayz i guarantee you'll luv 'em. they're soooooo good. it's sooo wonderful and perfect --- if only life were really like that. but you know their the best. especially #1,3,8,10,11,12. and the 1st book of the sierra jensen series. the series' tie together. yep. those are the best one's i think. and the christy miller series is sooooooo happy and nice. i like it better than the sierra jensen books, although their good too!!!

Wonderful series!
The Christy Miller Series is the best ever! I have read all 12 books, and I've read all 12 books of the sequel series-Sierra Jenson series! There is also another one coming out in June called Christy and Todd: The College Years! Robin Jones Gunn is a fantastic writer! I encourage everyone to buy these books, especially teenagers! They help you with real life situations and let you know that God is always there for you! Thanks!

To think it is all so simple
This book really tells it like it is. I had a hard time getting the book away from my boyfriend at first, but once I had my hands on it I couldn't put it down. The Power Surge is something else. My life was in such a state and I was sick of books that made every change so difficult. This is funny, witty, easy to read and even the men want to read it. The information is understandable and helpful. I am recommending it to everyone.

It's What Women Want to Know
Georgene Summers' book opened up my eyes to relationships and what was always going wrong. Forget the "rules" and the the other complicated relationship books that are too difficult to diffuse- her book makes sense in every aspect of the word relationship! Eveyone should read it - it's changed my Life!

THE BOOK FOR EVERY WOMAN
I can't tell you how much this book has meant to me. It's amazing. It's easy to read and has such great information in it. My life is working so much better in every way. I find that I look at men and their chatter differently than before. I love this book.

Awesome Book!
I have read many books before but when I picked this one up, I couldnt stop reading. The story could relate to me so I enjoyed it A LOT. I recommend it!

REMEMBER TO GIVE THE ONE YOU DON'T WANT TO A CHANCE
I loved this book I read it back in middle school and liked it but i found it the other day cleaning my room and decided to read it again since I couldnt seem to remember what it was about. I am 20 now and realize how much I can relate to this book becasue the person I feel in love with is the one I wouldn't give a chance too. I think it gives hope to all those girls out there that are sitting at home wishing to grow up and fall in love. Cause even if it seems like it will never happen it will and in the most unexpected way. Just read the first chapter and you won't be able to put it down trust me I couldn't and I hate to read. I was going to sell it but it's such a good book that I decided to keep it and let my niece that starts middle school this year read it casue I know she'll love it and so will you!

one of the best books i've ever read!
This was a great novel, i couldn't put it down! i've read this book over ten times and i still read it. it's about a girl named Amber. She goes to California and has the time of her life! she has hopes and dreams of finding the man of her dreams in California. i recommend this book to anyone who wants to have a romantic adventure.

Interesting with a sprinkle of reality in it
Carly McFarlane has a so called 'best friend', Heather who snatches every single one of Carly boyfriends. So she finally decided to find the perfect guy for Heather to stop this craziness. Jack obviously was attracted to Carly from the first time they met being it such a bizarre situation. Though being absolutely 'blur' from the beginning, she thinks that he is the best match for her friend. This book is pretty interesting. With a few other characters in it to spice it all up. Watch out for Carly's sister, Joelle with her witty as well as thoughtful comebacks at some parts of the book. Overall it is quite a good and enjoyable book. Worth the time spent on reading it.

amazing book
this book is INCREDIBLE !! the story is about a girl whose best friend is the perfect blonde petite girl who always has to take guys away from her!! whoever she dates, heather (her best friend) dates just after her, i mean, the girl doesn't even waits for her to brake up! so that's why carly makes a perfect plan to keep heather away from luke, the guy she's after, she just has to find heather the perfect guy for her... so she starts this huge caimpaign to pair up heather with someone, and after a few tries she find the perfect guy for her, jack, whose a guy who works with her as a counselor at summer school for kids. but when they start to hit it off, carly realices that she is developing a major crush on jack, and then her sister whose pregnant and at home tells her to do exactly what heather would...
well i hope i didn't give away to much about the story! i recomend this book to anyone who into a excelent love story, i mean, i have like 8 books of this serie and this one is by far, one of the best i've read!
u just can't miss it!!

It is the most simulating and animated story book.
"HOT SUMMER NIGHTS" was one of the books which had a realistic approach towards life. It revolves the topic that " ALL THAT GLITTERS IS NOT GOLD". Carly thought that Luke was the guy of her dreams. She was surprised that in the end it is Jack who steels her heart. Most of the time the heroines of the love stories are perfect with nice figures, lovely hair and lovely eyes and very few problems. The only problem thay face is that how to catch their dream guy, however Carly faces lots of problems. Diificulting in dealing with her sister, trying to control her feelings when she finds out that she loved Jack were only few. I cannot find a better book which deals with every event and character with such art.

The Son of Summer Stars (Firebringer Trilogy. V.3.)
Published in Mass Market Paperback by Firebird Books (June, 2003)
Author: Meredith Ann Pierce
Average review score:

I can't describe it! Incredible!
These books are the most incredible, fabulous, wonderful unicorn books ever written. Pierce's unicorns are fighters, not dull wimpy little maiden-chasing white unicorns of lore, but strong warriors that come in all colors and sizes.

The plot is ingenious, and the dark secret Korr holds will hold you till the end. With lush description and astounding plot twists, this excellent conclusion to the Firebringer series is so beautifully written it nearly made me cry. Jan is the ultamite hero.

This series is without a doubt the best portrayl of unicorns ever written. If you feel at ALL for unicorns, this book is ESSENTIAL. Forget about all the other so called "unicorn" books you've read or heard about, these are what you are looking for. This is the real thing. This blows all other author's interpretions of unicorns far away in its uniqueness and wonderful, unforgettable characters and places. Fantastic. Beyond description.

Wonderful book, best in the series, deserves 100 stars!
Once I picked up the first book in this series, I couldn't put it down. I was a matter of days before I got the third one. This is a fabulous sequel to "The Birth of the Firebringer" and "Dark Moon". The story of how Jan finally drove the secret out of his father, Korr, and how he discovers his and Tek's true identity is shocking. It left me thinking for months. This is truly the best book I have ever read, and a worthy sequel to the previous books.

A lyrical dream, waking, and never ending.
It is both my honor and my privlage to write reviews for these books, being the most undeservedly obscure trilogy of unicorn stories ever written. Anyone who likes fantasy, or unicorns will appriciate this book, as you finally learn Korr's secret, and dare to dream a unicorn and a gryphon can yet find true happiness. Please, search out these books and read them. They don't deserve the early grave they have been dug by the media and publishers. Only your participation can save a great work for destruction, and we're running out of time. Hopefully, with the great resurgence in fantasy, we can affect their future. One Evil Summer
Title: One Evil Summer
By: R.L. Stine
Reviewed By: ...

One Evil Summer is truly a thriller. When I was reading it, I got chills up m y spine. It is about a girl named Amanda. During the summer, she comes to a small town called Seahaven. Since she can't baby-sit her brother Kyle and her sister Merry, her mom hires a babysitter, Chrissy. She seems like miss perfect, but Amanda finds her a bit unique. The truth is that Chrissy wants to kill Amanda and her family. There were many things that I liked and disliked about this book. R.L. Stine made the book so interesting that you couldn't put it away. He described the events in such a way that you felt as if you were actually there. I also loved the way he described Amanda. She had such self confidence. She would stick up for what she saw. " You were floating!" she shrieked. "Don't deny it! I saw you!" She tried to tell her parents, but they wouldn't listen to her.
There were also many things that I disliked about the book. For example, I disliked the way some of the events were a little juvenile. At those points of the book, I would start to think what the author was thinking when he wrote this line. " Chrissy was floating closer! Closer!" The book could have been better.
My favorite part f the book was the ending. It unraveled everything. I thought that the end of the book was the scariest. It was hard to believe the ending....BR>This was a scary but great book.

I LOVED this book and you will too!!!
One Evil Summer is one of my favorite Fear Street book series let me tell you a little bit about it

Summer at the beach and Amanda Conklin's stuck in summer school. Well, at least she doesent have to take care of her little brother and sister. Thats Chrissy's job.

Chrissy seems like the perfect babysitter- so kind and trushworthy. But Amanda soon discovers Chrissy's terrible secret. Babysitting is Chrissy's job but killing is what she does best!

I gave this book 5 stars and i hope u will too!!

Come On, Rain!
Published in School & Library Binding by Scholastic (March, 1999)
Authors: Karen Hesse and Jon J. Muth
Average review score:

A beautiful book for young readers.
This is a beautifully written story of a young girl and her mother waiting for rain. It's magical and lyrical and a must read! The illustrations match the text brilliantly and are stunning in their own right. Karen Hesse is not only a wonderful writer of novels for middle-grade readers, she shines as a picture book author as well. Bravo!!

Lyrical picture book
This lyrical ode to the coming rain, accompanied by the soothing wash of lush watercolors, make Hesse's Come on, Rain! sure to please young children. In prose that reads like poetry, young Tessie bemoans the heat of summer while waiting with confidence that rain will soon come. Along with her multicultural friends and all their mammas, Tessie dances in gratitude for the refreshing wetness the rain bestows. While the lyrical prose is of such beautiful quality it could stand on its own, the soft watercolor illustrations portray the emotions of the characters in such lovely detail; the two, the prose and illustrations, combine to create a delightful work of art. Even with the vertical lines of rain which one would expect to stop the motion of the story, Muth manages to create a sense of flowing from left to right, page to page, in keeping with the cadence of the text by using achromatic colors for the backgrounds of most pages. Recommended for children ages 4-8. Public librarians may want to share this title in a storytime about rain, along with Bill Martin's Listen to the Rain.

"Come On, Rain!" A Truly Beautiful Book!
I found the book "Come On, Rain!" at our local library and immediately picked it up. The first thing you will notice about this beautiful book are the gorgeous ilustrations! The pictures in this book are lovely and the prose is so happy and full of the anticipation everyone feels on a hot summer day while waiting for a cooling rain. You and you children will love this book!

Prom Victims
Have you ever wanted to pick up a book that is filled with screams and thrills? The Prom Queen is one book you'll never forget. From the Fear Street series, The Prom Queen is a thriller you won't want to put down.
Lizzie McVay and her friends: Simone, Rachel, Dawn, and Elana have all been nominated to be Shaydyside Highschool's Prom Queen for the Spring Dance. The Prom Queen is awarded a $3,000.00 scholorship to a nearby college. There is only one problem- someone wants all the money, someone who is greedy enough to kill. Simone disappears and Lizzie is devestated when her best friend Rachel is murdered. Now she is afraid the murderer will come after her too. Can she stop him before it's too late?
I really like The Prom Queen because the suspense and thrills will get you on the edge of your seat. There was only one part I didn't like- when Lizzie had a nightmare. I think that R.L. Stine wrote a little too much detail. But doesn't he always? Just remember, keep the light on!

Will you survive???????
Lizzie and her friends are so scared because a girl was found dead in the Fear street woods. Lizzie is so excited when she hears she is nominated for Prom Queen candidate. Everything was going well until someone dissapeared. Then, a victim is found. Lizzie know's who the victim is. Then, another Prom Queen candiddate is murdered! Is Lizzie next? I really liked it!! It's a scary mystery! REad it!

Barlowe's Guide to Extraterrestrials
This is a wonderful book with detailed pictures and descriptions of aliens light and dark, good and evil, cruel and kind, and large and small. It has vibrant illustrations that grab the eye, and descriptions that send the mind and imagination to worlds millions of light years away. You will not find these alien faces anywhere else but in this book. I would recommend it to any science fiction lover who can get their hands on it.

Fully colored aliens let you enjoy the book.
Awesome. COOOL. A must get book that every sci-fi lover should have. It not only has pictures of the aliens but it tells its entire life!

A modern classic
I first read this book when I was 10, and it freaked me out. It was one of the major reasons I began reading science fiction. This book can be reread endlessly without losing an ounce of wonder, for Barlowe's representations of alien anatomy are truly inspired. I constantly recommend this to my friends, and they are never disappointed, even the ones who can't stand sci-fi. Unfortunately, his paintings are much more interesting than some of the books they're taken from.

The Last Day of Summer
Published in Hardcover by Aperture (01 July, 1998)
Author: Jock Sturges
Average review score:

Top class photo-book about true freedom!
An absolutely beautiful book, with stunning photography. However, what is with all the hubbub about eroticism (Yes/No/Maybe)? After all, Sturges' approach is very different from Hamilton. No staged 'sweeter than honey' pictures here, but true life. Nothing bad said about Hamilton's work, but that is something completely different.
Sure, there are pictures of nude young people and children. So what? If you get 'turned on' by that, that is something inside your mind. Some people might be turned on by sunflowers for all I care.
This book is truly about freedom: spiritual and physical freedom. It's about being at ease with oneself and one's environment. Jock Sturges has captured that in its most pure form, by depicting the bare innocence of unspoiled youth. Therefore, their nudity is self-explanatory.
If you understand that, buy the book, you'll love it! If you don't understand it, buy it anyway, and maybe you will learn a valuable lesson, if you can grasp the true essence of freedom and purity depicted here.
Or, if you will, leave all the psychology for what it is, and just enjoy the fabulous photography!
A must have!

Sturges' fine nudes draw ire
A few families have been given the gift of having their lives chronicled by a master photographer. Jock Sturges books chronicle the passage of time through the lives of several families, who are photographed naturally at a nature retreat in France. The lineage of the human family is at its most noble in these images of parents with their children, brothers with their sisters, families with friends... It is the soul of humanity and family that is depicted in Sturges' fine work, in a manner that (thanks to its nudity) is as timeless as the human spirit itself. Propagandistic attacks upon his work because of the natural nudity are, while perhaps honestly felt, are misplaced.

Incredible Collection of Photographs
Jock Sturges creates images, not of nude adolescence, but of emotion, power, and beauty. He has captured generations with his camera, showing images from childhood to adulthood. More so, Jock has achieved what many photographers and arts cannot. He has attained that trust and opened up the emotion of his subjects. If one looks his subjects eyes and face, rather then just shallowly looking a "young nude child," you can see the real power of Jock's work
